I tried to use various techniques from class – flowers inspired by a blog post and video by Sandy Allnock Brusho Watercolor Garden. Koi watercolors on Strathmore 300 series watercolor paper
I tried making “expressive flowers” using the natural brush marks – Koi watercolors on Strathmore 300 series watercolor paper
Create a scene around stamped image – I used Kuretake Gamsai Tambi watercolors on Ranger Watercolor paper
I used Distress Inks – tried to make the flowers “pop” with darker background colors – painted on Ranger Watercolor paper
card for day 2 of the Online Card Class Watercolor Intermediate Techniques – I used Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors and round brushes to create some poppies
I used Koi Watercolors and traced a feather die to create the card background
The hive stamp and greeting are from the “Be Happy” set by Our Daily Bread Designs. I colored the hive image with watercolor pencils. I embossed the yellow cardstock with a Tim Holtz honeycomb folder.
